Virginia Crushers 18U Brings Home the Gold
After all of the rain on Friday, the Virginia Crushers 18U had to wait an additional 24 hours to kickoff the summer season at the Softball Nation Rock N Fire tournament in Richmond. The wait was definitely worth it! These ladies were able to defeat every opponent in their pool and advance to the Championship game. After a slow first inning, their bats came alive as they amassed four runs to their opponent’s one. Congrats on a great weekend ladies! Way to bring home the Gold!
GREAT WEEKEND FOR SOFTBALL!!!!!
Most of our teams finished up the Fall Season this past weekend at the USSSA Crown Trophy NIT tournament. The weather was perfect for softball and exceptional for November. We have played this tournament in snow, rain and freezing temps with 25mph winds in the past.
First, some individual congratulations:
16U – Mallie hit her first homer
14U – Mikayla and McKenzie both had dingers this weekend
14U – Brianna pitched a perfect game
Lastly, we congratulate our 14U team for their first place finish in the Gold Division! Way to bring home the Gold on your coaches’ birthday!
Second Week of Season Update
It was a beautiful weekend of softball! The weather turned cooler and some ladies broke out their jackets. Our 14U teams battled one another in the USSSA Battle at Legacy Park. Our 16U Miller team took second place in their pool as well as finishing second in the Softball Nation Varsity Blues Silver Bracket. In between games the players were found hitting the books and completing their homework.
