Most of our teams finished up the Fall Season this past weekend at the USSSA Crown Trophy NIT tournament. The weather was perfect for softball and exceptional for November. We have played this tournament in snow, rain and freezing temps with 25mph winds in the past.

First, some individual congratulations:

16U – Turner Mallie hit her first homer
14U – Wolf Mikayla and McKenzie both had dingers this weekend
14U – Wolf Brianna pitched a perfect game

We would like to congratulate our 16U – Miller team for their runner-up finish in the Silver Division. It was a hard fought battle and a hard loss but the teams bonded before, during and after the game by giving well wishes to the Comets player who was badly injured in pool play on Saturday. We hope to see her back on the field soon!

Lastly, we congratulate our 14U – Wolf team for their first place finish in the Gold Division! Way to bring home the Gold on your coaches’ birthday!

Thanks to everyone who made the tournament a success. Although we still have to reconcile all of our receipts and invoices, we are confident in saying that we will be able to donate over $6000 to military charities again this year. Congratulations to the following teams:

Next year’s tournament will be held on 6 and 7 November 2021.

VA Crushers Fastpitch Softball

Our Military Appreciation Tournament is almost sold out. We are grateful for all those who have signed up for this annual event. All proceeds from this tournament go to support Military Charities. Last year we donated over $6000. Mark your calendars for 31 October and 1 November 2020 for this great event. Our t-shirt design will be completed soon and order forms will be posted here as well as emailed out to all participating teams.
